VOLUTE™ is a structured dewatering technology that consists of fixed and moving rings surrounding a rotating screw. As the screw rotates, sludge is transported and continually pressurised by the narrowing gap between the screw’s pitch and the surrounding rings. 

Due to this volume compression effect, the sludge is thickened and dewatered as it moves toward the outlet, leaving the Volute as a dry cake.
